Spent 2 years brushing dirt off with a stiff brush before a random field director yelled at me to use a dental pick instead

@piper912 not to be that guy, but that q-tip trick only works if the pottery is already fairly dry and stable. Wet q-tips on soft or crumbling sherds just turns everything into mud and makes the surface worse. It's a great time saver on solid stuff though, especially once you get the touch for how much moisture the dirt needs.

PSA: I spent 3 hours trying to figure out why my router kept dropping when the issue was just a loose coax cable

Yeah 100% I've had that same thing happen but with a loose phone line on my DSL back in the day. I spent a whole Saturday swapping out filters and even bought a new modem before my dad walked over and just wiggled the wall jack connection. Tightened it by like a quarter turn and boom everything worked. The kicker is I had already checked that same jack twice but I was pressing on it from the wrong angle so it seemed fine. Now I always start with the physical stuff first before I even touch software settings or call anyone. Saves me hours every time.

Showerthought: My buddy laughed at me for using headphones at the gym last year

Earbuds are the way to go at the gym, no question. Your buddy probably likes the hype music, but for actual lifting you need your own rhythm. I always bring my noise cancelling headphones and never look back. The gym is already loud enough with clanking weights and random conversations. Plus, you can pick your own playlist instead of whatever the staff decides that day. Try keeping one earbud out if you need to stay aware of your surroundings.

My art professor told me to 'just use a Wacom' and I spent 60 hours fighting it

$250 for a used Intuos is steep, they usually go for under $100 on FB Marketplace these days. But yeah, the driver thing kills more beginners than anything else with those tablets.

Unpopular opinion: The Room is actually a perfect movie for what it is

Got a theory Tommy is the only one who actually understood what he was making.
