That cold air intake delete actually woke my 6.7 up
I pulled the aftermarket cold air intake off my 2012 F-250 about 3 weeks ago and put the stock box back on. The truck had a rough idle at stoplights and I kept chasing a P0401 code that never made sense. Turned out the cone filter was letting fine dust past the MAF and it was reading way off. Now the idle is smooth and I got 2.5 mpg better on my last haul to Boise. Anyone else seen worse performance after bolting on a fancy intake?

My buddy had the exact same thing happen on his Duramax a few years back. He swore the cone filter felt faster but his fuel mileage tanked and the truck kept throwing codes that made zero sense. Finally put the factory box back on and it ran like a whole different rig. Funny how these trucks like their stock air setups.
