Blew $85 on a 'premium' meal prep service, ate cold sad chicken for 5 days straight
Ordered one of those weekly meal prep boxes because I was sick of spending $12 on lunch every day. Figured the math would work out, you know? Big mistake. The portions were tiny, the 'grilled chicken' came out rubbery no matter what I did, and the sauce packets leaked all over my work bag on Thursday.
Total damage was $85 for 5 meals. That's $17 per sad little container when I could have just made pasta at home for like $3 a day. I get that convenience costs, but this felt like a scam dressed up in nice packaging.
Has anyone actually found a meal prep service that's worth the money, or is this just a permanent rip-off? I'm about to go back to peanut butter sandwiches.
