inThat time a draft horse in Bend tried to 'help' me with his shoe
Oh my god, yes! My mare gets so mouthy when I'm trying to do her feet. I gave her an old rasp to hold and it was a total game changer. She just stands there quietly gnawing on the handle now. Honestly it saves my sleeves from getting tugged on every two seconds.

inHad a client bring in a Leica M3 last week that had been 'cleaned' with WD-40. The shutter was a sticky mess. What's the worst 'home repair' you've had to undo?
Honestly, @gavinramirez, I used to think a little WD-40 was fine for squeaky hinges. Tbh, that changed after seeing a Nikon F where someone sprayed the whole mirror box. The foam turned to goo and the mirror just stuck. Felt so bad for that camera. Ngl, some home fixes just make the whole problem ten times worse.

inI used to think white-label partnerships were just a way to hide who does the work
It's funny how often we get hung up on the idea of credit (like, who did the work) when what most people really want is just a clean, easy result. Your Austin story is a perfect example. I've seen this in other areas too, like when a general contractor manages a whole home reno. You don't want to talk to the plumber, electrician, and tiler separately. You just want one person to handle the mess. That single point of contact cuts through the noise, and that's what builds real trust over time.
