inHad a homeowner in Boise ask me to skip the weep holes to 'make it look cleaner'
Yeah, that's a classic. I always wonder what the thought process is there. Is it just not knowing, or do they think you're trying to upsell them on invisible holes? Had one guy who wanted to seal his attic vents for the same reason, to stop 'drafts'. How do you even start that talk without sounding like you're just shutting them down?

inMy uncle told me to take the first job offer after college, no matter what
Ugh, my gut told me to skip that awful party.

inMy date in Portland last fall spent the whole time talking about his ex's cat
The cat's medical history probably had more plot twists than our date. At least the pizza was good. I'd have asked if the ex wanted to join us, since we were clearly on her team. Next time maybe he can bring the cat's x-rays for show and tell.

inPro tip: I used to think bulk stores were a trap, but Costco changed my mind
That rice deal sounds amazing, honestly. Do you have a good system for storing that much rice so it doesn't go bad or get bugs? I've been burned before with pantry moths from a big bag of flour.

inMy attempt at desk exercises sent a coffee cup flying
Honestly, that whole booby-trapped desk feeling is a bit much. Gotta just learn from the mess and adapt, not freeze up. Like @barbara827 breaking a monitor is a solid lesson to clear the area first. My method is to put the coffee on the floor, move the chair back, and do some simple shoulder rolls right there. It's not about never moving, it's about moving smarter so you don't have to explain a reboot to your boss.
