The week I had to redo an entire floor plan because of a single wrong scale
So last Tuesday, I was feeling good. I'd just finished a full set of drawings for a small office fit-out in Portland, sent them off for review, and was ready to move on. Then the call came. The contractor on site said the door clearances were all off, like, way off. I pulled up my file and my heart just sank. I'd been working in 1/8" scale for the details, but the main floor plan was still set to 1/4". I must have missed resetting it after my last zoom in. It was a rookie mistake, and it meant every single dimension on that sheet was wrong. I spent the next two days basically redrawing the whole thing from scratch, checking every line twice. It was just soul crushing, you know? You ever have one tiny setting mess up a whole day's work like that?
