inWe switched from a single pump to a dual setup on the dredge barge last month and the difference is wild.
Didn't @hollyg59 read that article about how small daily gains add up over a whole season?

inPSA: My bull float handle snapped on a 40-yard slab pour in Tucson last month
Funny how that happens... seems like half the stuff sold now is just waiting to fail at the worst possible moment. Your buddy's story about the handle snapping is a perfect example. It's not just tools either, you see it with everything from cheap furniture to those thin plastic garden hoses. Feels like paying a bit more upfront saves so much hassle later, even if it hurts the wallet at the register. That solid feel in your hands makes all the difference when you're actually trying to get work done.

inI bought a cheap paint gun from a swap meet and it cost me a full day's work
What if the cheap stuff is fine and people just don't know how to install it right? Simonl11, maybe your bad experience was a one-off or a setup problem. I've used plenty of budget parts that lasted for years with no trouble. Sometimes you pay for a name, not for something that actually works better.
