Seven years of doing splices before someone pointed it out

Five years of just going by feel" sounds like Dave was already giving himself a reality check long before that vendor showed up.

Wasted $250 on that Scottsdale networking group that promised 'exclusive access'

250 bucks for a sales pitch, what a steal.

Stop trusting flour from bulk bins at 2am like I did last Tuesday

Wait, you used cinnamon from 2019 and just went with it? I would've at least done a smell test before dumping that into a pie for guests.

Hit 500 kWh saved in a month and it made me wonder about the other side

Saw a study last week that said something like 80% of emissions come from big industry, not households, and it kind of stuck with me... It makes individual savings feel tiny when you see those numbers. Feels like we need both, but the big guys have way more ground to cover.

Pro tip: switched from canned air to a datavac blower for dusting towers last year

Oh man, the datavac is a total game changer once you get past the upfront cost. I used to think I was saving money by buying the cheap cans in bulk, but then I realized how much I was spending on propellant and the cold air killing my hands in the winter. The only thing I'd add is to watch the static buildup on some of those cheaper blowers if you're working near sensitive boards, but the force of the air alone makes it worth it for cleaning out power supplies and heatsinks. For the price of a few big jobs worth of canned air, you basically get a tool that'll last you years.
