Did you catch it right away or did the brassy ends throw you off at first? I feel you on this so hard. I had the same thing happen a while back and it bugged me for weeks before I figured out what I was doing wrong. Layering it too thick on the midshaft is such an easy habit to fall into, especially when you're moving fast. The porosity thing is real though, some spots just drink it up and others barely take anything. Fine sections changed everything for me too.

Watching one or two episodes nightly lets the small stuff sink in way deeper than binging ever did.
