Faded roots on a client made me rethink my toner routine
Last Tuesday I had a client come in with six weeks of growth and her ends looked brassy while her roots were dark. That contrast got me looking closer and I realized I had been layering toner too heavy on the midshaft the whole time. So I switched my approach, sectioned finer and applied toner only where the porosity actually grabbed it. The before and after in one visit was honestly night and day, her color finally looked like one continuous piece. Has anyone else noticed their toner results change just by adjusting how thick you lay it on?
