inSetting up my new Nemo Aurora 2-person tent in a stiff wind took me 45 minutes, not the 10 they claim.
Disagree, @danielb43, those times are for perfect conditions.

inHot take: I finally watched 'Battlefield Earth' and I think it's secretly a comedy masterpiece.
Honestly, I just see a famously bad movie. The weird camera angles and over the top acting feel like mistakes, not clever jokes. It's more of a train wreck than a hidden gem.

inFound a single, perfect shoe in the old food court at the Sunrise Mall

inThis old timer at the Oshkosh airshow showed me a trick for finding a bad coax connector
Love that trick because it shows how much we rely on simple fixes in a world full of fancy tech. Reminds me of mechanics finding vacuum leaks with a spray bottle of soapy water, same basic idea. It's the kind of old-school, hands-on knowledge that seems to be fading away, which is a real shame. You just know that guy has a hundred more tricks like that up his sleeve.
