Found a single, perfect shoe in the old food court at the Sunrise Mall
I was poking around the Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights last month, the place is just a concrete shell now. Right there on the counter of the old Orange Julius, sitting in the dust, was one little kid's light-up sneaker, battery long dead. What's the weirdest single item you've ever found left behind in a dead mall?

That's so weirdly sad. Found a single roller skate, like the old school kind with a key, just sitting on the escalator at the old Valley Fair.

That roller skate just makes you wonder, doesn't it? How does someone walk away from just one of those? It's like a tiny, weird piece of a story you'll never get to hear the rest of.
