Construction chaos is killing my walk-in traffic.

They started digging up the pavement earlier this week, and now parking and access are a nightmare. How do you handle when local projects disrupt your business?

Ever tried talking to the city about a timeline?

Ugh, I used to totally brush off stuff like this. I figured people would just find a way. But last year, a six-month sewer project completely blocked the sidewalk to my friend's cafe. Even with signs, his lunch crowd just vanished... they couldn't even walk past the place. It was brutal. @mia_sullivan has a point about asking for a timeline, because knowing it's only two weeks makes it way easier to stomach than an open-ended mess.

Ah, the classic city-sponsored "no customers allowed" project. My favorite part is always the tiny, confusing signs they put up (that nobody reads) telling you where to supposedly park. Hope you've got a good stash of coffee for this.
