I used to book hotels directly, now I only check the 'map view' on booking sites

Map view is a total game changer for that. I always zoom way out along the train or tram lines going into the city center. You can find spots that are a 15 minute ride out but way cheaper, and the transit pass is still less than the hotel mark up. Also, switching the map to satellite view can show you if a "boutique hotel" is really just a motel next to a highway, which has saved me a few times.

Showerthought: I used to think those scalp scrub brushes were just a gimmick

Honestly it sounds like placebo effect to me. Those brushes just move product around, they don't actually do anything special. A good clarifying shampoo and proper technique works just as well without buying another single-use gadget.

Question about a fuel line trick I saw at a truck stop in Flagstaff

Old power steering lines, huh. What kind of car was that on?

My friend insisted I watch 'Monster' and I'm glad I listened

What was the moment that got you hooked? For me with Monster, it was when Tenma makes that big choice at the hospital. My friend had to push me through the first ten episodes too, but after that I couldn't stop watching.

Why does everyone think a 50/50 revenue split is the only fair way to partner?

Overthinking the grunt work can kill the vibe before you even start. Sometimes you just need to jump in and figure it out as you go, because listing every single task feels like you don't trust your partner. That upfront talk can make a simple deal feel like a huge legal contract and scare people off. The best partnerships often come from a bit of chaos and just pitching in where you see a need.
