Drove 11 hours for a funeral that didn't happen
My cousin passed last Tuesday, so I left Seattle at 4am Friday to get to Boise for the service. Got there at 3pm, only to find out they moved it to Sunday because the pastor had a conflict. I spent Friday night sleeping in my car because I didn't want to pay $140 for a hotel. Saturday I sat in a diner for 6 hours reading a paperback, and finally Sunday came and the service was only 20 minutes long. Has anyone else traveled far for a family event that just kept changing?
