Customers used to read the whole menu, now they just point at my phone screen

I noticed after 15 years at the diner on Route 9, people stopped asking about specials and started shoving their phones at me with a screenshot of some random dish from TikTok. Last Tuesday a guy got mad I couldn't make a 'crispy rice paper pizza' that wasn't even on our menu, so has anyone else seen this shift where customer expectations come from videos instead of actual menus?

Thing is, that crispy rice paper thing is all over social media but it's not a diner dish, it's from some trendy Asian fusion place. Your menu probably doesn't have rice paper in any form, and a guy getting mad about that is like yelling at a pizza joint for not having tacos. The real issue is people treat your phone screen like it's the actual menu instead of just a picture of something they saw once. I'd just tell them straight up, "That's not what we serve here, but here's what we got" and let them decide if they wanna stay.
