My cat's meows got translated by an AI pet app and now I'm in trouble

Tried one of those apps with my cat once. It kept saying "warm spot on the carpet" and then sure enough he'd go lay there. Probably just a coincidence but it was enough to make me delete it.

Hot take: I was wrong about using canned air on old power supplies

Wait, are we sure this isn't just overthinking it? I've been blasting PSUs with canned air for like 15 years and never seen a spark, maybe that capacitor was already on its way out. Honestly, unless you're spraying it from like 2 inches away in a super dry room, I'm not convinced the static risk is as huge as people make it sound.

Spent $400 on a smart thermostat and my electric bill actually went up

$400 on a thermostat? That's insane. I paid like 30 bucks for a basic programmable one at Home Depot. It literally pays for itself in a month or two. You got ripped off hard.

Had to pick between the High Divide Loop and the Hoh River Trail for a 3 day trip last month

Buddy of mine chose the High Divide in late September. Said the wind nearly knocked him off the ridge twice but the elk bugling at sunrise made up for it. Loudest wild sound he’s ever heard, said it felt like the whole mountain was talking.

I finally get why people crank up Johnny Cash in the truck

You said "keep his head down and just work through the noise" and that got me thinking. When that carpenter told you that, was he talking about the song's beat or the actual lyrics about serving time and regret? I ask because I've noticed the same song can mean two totally different things depending on whether you focus on the rhythm or the story it tells. Did he say anything about which part of the song hit home for him?
