inMy 30-day juice cleanse left me with a $400 blender and zero energy
Did you follow a proper plan with vegetable-based juices and some protein? Most people fail because they only drink fruit juice, which is just sugar water.

inJust finished my 100th book repair
I read a blog post a while back about a guy who would buy old, beat-up leather jackets from thrift stores just to cut them up for book repair. Said the worn-in grain and color match on vintage stuff was impossible to get new. Might be a weird workaround, but it stuck with me. For calfskin specifically, I've had luck asking in really niche hobbyist forums, the kind with old bulletin board style layouts. Someone there usually has a drawer full of scraps they'll part with for cheap.

inWarning: I followed the 'always say yes to new projects' advice and it backfired hard
How do you even start fixing that? I used to be the same way, saying yes to everything until I was burnt out. It took me missing a bunch of family stuff to realize I was just making myself miserable for no good reason. Now I check my calendar first and give myself time to think. It's not easy, but it gets easier with practice.

inShowerthought: I thought those cheap thermal fuses from online were junk, but one just saved a dryer in my own house.
They can be reset if they're the type with a manual button. My old space heater has one that trips and just needs a press to work again. The one-time fuses are usually in things like hair dryers, right?
