Tried parchment vs. foil for air fryer chicken thighs and one was a total mess

Oh wait, parchment paper in an air fryer can be dangerous if its not weighed down! It can fly up into the heating element and catch fire. Just a heads up, you gotta make sure theres food on top of it.

That one Thursday where everything went right for once

Honestly I read something recently about how our brains get wired to expect problems because that's what keeps us alert and safe. So when everything lines up perfectly it actually triggers that same alert system because your brain can't figure out what threat to look for. Tbh realizing that waiting in your car was just your brain doing its job makes it way less sad and just kinda human.

Small victory: I finally cooked dinner for myself without crying

Oh man @valh32 is right about the artisanal smokiness - my friend Jenna burned her toast so bad once it set off the smoke alarm and she still ate it.

Shoutout to my buddy Frank who warned me about those cheap bamboo cutting boards

Oh, that's a bummer, I've definitely been there with kitchen gear that looked good at first.

The old school handshake referral is dying and it hurts partnerships

and honestly that coffee thing is way more important than people realize! like back in 2018 I had this potential partner who kept wanting to zoom instead of meeting in person and I finally drove three hours just to sit down at a diner with him for twenty minutes and we closed the deal that same week. you can tell so much from how someone acts when theyre not on a screen you know? the little things like if they actually listen or if theyre just waiting for their turn to talk. I swear LinkedIn has made everyone lazy about building real connections.
