Just read that the average person spends about 4 years of their life looking at their phone... found that in a random article while I was, of course, looking at my phone.

Just saw a study where 60% of people under 35 can't afford a starter home in their own city. It feels like the whole idea of building a life is slipping away. You work the same jobs your parents did but get half the result. Makes you wonder what the plan even is for regular people anymore.

Appreciation post: figuring out how to make my own veggie broth from scraps took me a whole year of trial and error...

A whole year? My soup would have been a science experiment by week two!

Remembering the time my entire collection's color palette bled together in a hotel bathtub in Cleveland

Ah, the classic Cleveland bathtub dye job... sounds about right for that town.

PSA: I look at mouths, not eyes, during conversations

Ever see those videos where they show how much we actually lip read without knowing it? I read once that in a loud bar, a huge chunk of what you understand comes from watching mouth shapes, not just sound. Makes total sense now. I've started doing it in meetings when someone mumbles, and it's way easier than just straining to hear. Kind of wild how much we miss by only looking at eyes.

PSA: Stuck on a basic function for days and it's driving me nuts

Read a blog post once about Python indentation errors. It said missing colons after function definitions are a common headache. Like, if you write 'def my_function()' without the colon, Python freaks out. Same with mixing tabs and spaces. The error messages can be confusing, but they usually point to the line number. Try using an editor that highlights syntax, it helps catch those mistakes early.
