PSA: After a client delayed feedback for ages, I now set hard deadlines for reviews.
Hard deadlines for client feedback keep projects moving and save my schedule, lmao.

But honestly, how often does feedback really hold things up that bad? Clients have their own stuff going on, and rushing them might just make things worse. Setting hard lines could push them away or make them give quick, bad answers. Most projects have some wiggle room, so a few days late isn't the end of the world. It feels like making a big deal out of something that usually works itself out. Maybe just a gentle nudge is enough instead of full-on deadlines.

Yeah, @wyatt_jones, that gentle nudge thing backfired on me once. Client went radio silent for weeks, and we almost missed the launch.

Saw a good article on this last week that said clear deadlines actually help clients prioritize! It said when timelines are fuzzy, feedback often gets lost in their busy schedules. Starting with clear plans can stop those last-minute rushes that hurt quality.
