Hit my 100th hand-sewn book yesterday and it stopped me in my tracks
I started binding books as a hobby about three years ago, mostly small journals and sketchbooks. Yesterday I finished my 100th one, a little leather-bound notebook with a Coptic stitch. It hit me that I had actually stuck with something this long and built a real skill. Each one taught me something, whether it was about grain direction, thread tension, or just being patient with mistakes. That number made me feel like a real bookbinder, not just someone messing around with glue. Has anyone else tracked how many books they have made from start to finish?
