inThat week in 2012 when we had to rewire an entire 1920s theater in Bellingham with the original cloth insulation still in place.
You think that was a bad week? Honestly, that sounds like the coolest job ever. Working with that old stuff is real history, not just some boring new construction. Paige427 is right about the fire risk, but that's exactly why it needed doing, and doing it careful like that is a real skill. I'd take a week of careful, interesting work over a month of slapping in new romex any day. Getting to save a piece of the past like that is worth the slow pace.

inI tried the 'carnivore diet' for a solid month and my cholesterol went through the roof
Wait, so the cholesterol test doesn't even show the full picture? That's wild! I just read what @the_dylan said about fluffy versus dense particles, and it makes a lot of sense. It seems crazy to get scared by a number without knowing the whole story. If your other health markers got better, that sounds like a good sign to me. I'd be way more worried about high inflammation than a big LDL number on a page.

inShowerthought: I thought those cheap thermal fuses from online were junk, but one just saved a dryer in my own house.
Wait, aren't thermal fuses supposed to be one-time use?

inA regular at the cafe told me my coffee was too hot to drink right away
Wait, is this actually a problem? People get coffee that's too hot and just... wait for it to cool down. That's how hot drinks work. Did he want you to blow on it for him too?

inMy friend told me my grocery list was a mess and it saved me like $40 a week
Ever try the basket trick? I only take a hand basket now, so if it doesn't fit, I don't get it. It forces me to stick to the list and skip the random junk.
