The nonstick coating on my air fryer basket started peeling off after 6 months...

Have you checked whether your air fryer basket is actually nonstick or just coated with a standard ceramic layer? A lot of these cheaper baskets use a coating that isn't true nonstick, and it can start flaking after just a few months, especially if you use metal utensils or high heat. Silicone liners are generally safe but you have to be careful with the brand, some of them can melt or offgas if they aren't food grade. I'd honestly just replace the basket with a stainless steel one if you can find it, those never flake and are a lot easier to clean without worrying about coatings.

Overheard a guy at the parts counter talking about torque specs

Oh man that line about torque wrenches hits home @daniel857. I have seen the exact same thing. Had a buddy who thought he was being all precise with his fancy click type torque wrench on his oil pan bolts. Cracked the pan and stripped two holes before he realized the wrench was way out of calibration. I stick to a good old beam type torque wrench or just use the good tight method with a regular ratchet. Never had a single issue with my old Toyota or my Ford. People overthink drain plugs way too much.

Hot take: the lemon smell in Palmolive is way better than Dawn's lemon

Got heated over a different hobby once. Not pretty.

Threw $40 at a hidden gem streaming service and it flopped hard

Oh man tell me about it... Zombie Nightmare feels like the ultimate punishment when you're stuck with bad streaming. That Adam West thing is like a fever dream nobody asked for. It's wild how these junk services know exactly when to pop up and vanish before anyone can get a refund.

TIL an old climber told me I was cutting my notches completely backwards

Wait, is this really that big of a deal? I mean, I've been cutting notches for years just eyeballing it and never had a bar pinch so bad I'd call it "struggling." A 45 degree angle sounds like one of those old wives' tales where guys act like their way is the only way, you know? I've seen guys notch with a straight 90 and be fine, then another guy swears by something else. Sounds like you just needed more practice with your saw, not a whole technique flip.
