Picked an offset stick burner over a pellet grill last spring, and my brisket game split in two
Back in April I finally had to choose between a used 250 gallon offset and a pellet grill I'd been eyeing for $800, and I went with the offset. First three cooks were rough, I ran it too hot and burnt two racks of spares before I figured out my firebox needed smaller splits. Last Saturday at the Lockhart rib cookoff a judge told me my bark was the best he'd had all day, so I guess the stick burner was the right call. Anyone here run both and have a strong opinion on which one taught you more?
