I had a similar thing happen on a 60 scan church job in Waco where the pews ate my line of sight and I had to bump from 25 feet down to 15. Cost me an extra half day but the client never knew, so I guess that's a win.

The "close call" part got me because I did the same thing a couple years back with my email, thinking I could just remember one really good password for everything important. Lasted about two weeks before I got a weird login alert from a streaming account I forgot I even had, and that was enough for me. Turns out my memory is worse than a free app, which is a low bar.

The jamming every 10 shots thing is so real, my buddy's old stick nailer did that to us constantly on his garage build. From what I have seen, coil guns hold way more nails and seem to jam less, but sticks are easier to load and cheaper to pick up used. Grab a decent used one around that price and you will be fine for a first build.
