inTried a cheap injector puller from Harbor Freight and it snapped on the third truck
Kept blowing through my budget on cheap gear that broke after two trips. Finally figured out that renting the pro level stuff saved me money and a whole lot of headaches. My garage is way less cluttered now too, which is a bonus I didn't see coming.

inSpent $400 on a Snap-On scan tool and it still couldn't read a 2018 Ford van's ABS codes last Tuesday
Borrowed a Bosch scanner from a neighbor and it pulled those codes in under a minute.

inHad to choose between $50 meal prep from Trader Joe's or $30 from Aldi last month
Flip it around and look at Trader Joe's drawbacks. Their frozen stir fry bags have way more sodium than anything I'd make myself, and that $3 price disappears fast when you need two bags to feed more than one person. Aldi's produce might go quicker, but that just means I'm eating fresh veggies early in the week and freezing what's left, which keeps me from ordering pizza.

inMy dish soap routine got exposed when my mom visited and pointed out I wasn't rinsing the sponge between uses
Oh man, I gotta disagree a little here. I mean, I've been doing the same thing for years and my dishes come out clean every time. Maybe it's just me but I think the soap still does its job even on a dry sponge. The water from rinsing activates it anyway. Plus, if you rinse the sponge between uses you're just washing all that soap down the drain before it even touches a plate. My mom tried to correct me once too and I told her to just let me handle my own kitchen.
