I still think plywood subfloors are better than OSB for most jobs

Man I read this one post on a building forum where a guy said skipping the vapor barrier under OSB is basically asking for mold city. He had pictures of his floor swelling up like a sponge after a year. Definitely wouldn't skip it.

Two sides of buying in bulk for one person. I spent $60 at Costco and threw half away.

Yeah the three-month mark is where it all goes wrong for me too. I've actually started writing the date I freeze stuff in big sharpie on the bag, otherwise I just lose track completely. What's the longest you've let something sit in there before you gave up on it? I found a bag of peas from 2021 last month and honestly I just stared at it for a minute then threw it straight in the trash.

Procreate vs Photoshop for line art - Procreate won by a mile

oh man, that brush feel difference is no joke. i spent years hunched over a desktop with photoshop too, and my lines always had this tiny bit of lag or something. same thing happened when i tried clip studio paint on an ipad pro. the screen just lets your hand flow way better. you might also want to mess with the streamline settings in procreate if you haven't already, i found that dialing it in helped clean up my wobbly lines even more. honestly, the only reason i keep photoshop around is for color work and final output stuff, but for the actual drawing part? it's hard to beat that direct screen response.

Spent 4 hours trying to dry my tent fly in a hostel drying room that was barely warm

People act like sitting still for a few hours is the worst thing in the world. Try standing in a cold rain for four hours and then we can talk about miserable. It's just a drying room, not a torture chamber.

That time a client's comment made me ditch my whole USB setup

the 3-2-1 backup rule is annoying but honestly it works. external SSD + cloud + one more drive at a friends house if you're paranoid. i keep my photo library on a NAS with automatic sync to backblaze and still manually copy important stuff to a portable HDD every few months. feels like overkill til you hear stories like this then suddenly its not enough.
