inRant: Saw a stripped coax connector on a Cessna at the Reno air show
Okay but "fast way to ruin a $50 part" feels like a stretch. A stripped connector is annoying for sure, but it's a fixable thing, not a ruined plane. Sometimes you just use the tools you have on the line to get the job done. Seen plenty of guys do it right with a regular wrench by feel. Torque specs are important, but acting like this one thing is a huge deal is kinda over the top.

inAppreciation post: I was fighting chatter on a deep pocket in aluminum and tried a 3-flute end mill instead of 2
Honestly, that "cut the noise in half" part is exactly why I do it. More flutes spread the load out so it doesn't bang around as much in the cut. The finish is almost always better for me too, way less chatter marks. It's my go-to move for deep aluminum now. I pretty much only use two-flute for clearing out big open pockets anymore.

inTIL coordinating schedules with my brother who's also a diver saves holiday chaos
Susana66, that 28/28 rotation sounds simple, but being gone all the time is its own kind of hard. The surprise visits are fun for you, but they can be tough on the family left waiting. The nina is right about needing things locked in, because other people need to plan their lives too. A last minute text that you're home means they might have made other plans already. It's less about a perfect calendar and more about giving people a heads up. Doesn't a quick update help everyone?

inShoutout to my first bullet journal's paper choice
Ugh, that's the worst. I learned the hard way too. Ruined a whole weekly spread with ghosting. Now I just do a quick scribble test with my heaviest pen in the store. Saves so much headache. Thin paper feels cheap and kills the vibe.

inMy neighbor said his sauerkraut tastes better when he talks to it
My grandma used to sing to her sourdough starter, swore it made the bread rise better. So maybe there's something to it, you know, the whole vibe of the place affecting the ferment. Your neighbor's batch three being the best tracks with that, like the microbes just got used to his voice. Honestly, if it works, it works.
