Pro tip: I chose a $300 facial steamer over a $100 one and it changed my whole service

I was setting up my new treatment room and had to pick between a cheap, basic steamer and a pricier one with a timer and adjustable mist. I went for the expensive one, a 'SkinGlow Pro', and it was the best choice. My extractions are now way easier because the steam is more even and lasts the full 12 minutes I need. Has anyone else found that a single tool upgrade made this big of a difference in their results?

My friend's cheap one just... sputtered out mid-treatment.

Happened to my old unit too. I found a local repair shop that fixed the pump for about half the price of a new one. They said it was a common clog from hard water.

That's a fair point about repair shops, but honestly... sometimes a fix just buys you a little time. Had a similar clog issue, and the repair only lasted a few months before something else went. Ended up feeling like throwing good money after bad.
