inDAE think the 'Texas crutch' is a total cheat for brisket?
Oh man, that steaming pot roast feeling is the worst! Totally been there myself. Wrapping too early is a surefire way to ruin the bark, like your buddy said. I tried the no-wrap method on my last one and it took forever, but the crust was unreal, totally worth the wait. Just make sure you've got enough fuel and maybe a good book to read!

inI just blew $75 on a 'premium' online course about asking better questions and it was total garbage.
Ugh, I just read free library books now. @thomasm15 has a point though.

inHad a shoe come off a draft horse in the middle of a trim last Tuesday and had to improvise with a hoof pick and some baling twine from the barn to keep him comfortable until I could get back with my truck.
My cousin's a farrier and he said the same thing about baling twine, it's a real farm hack but not safe for actual repairs. He saw a horse get tangled bad because the twine gave way and snapped back. @the_stella is totally right about the stretch causing worse issues. Vet wrap is cheap and made to hold under pressure without tightening down like a tourniquet. It's just not worth the risk trying to make do with the wrong stuff. Keeping the right supplies on hand is a basic part of being responsible.

inI spent $400 on a fancy LED mask and it did nothing for my clients
Saw a deep dive on this last week. They tested a bunch of popular masks and found the light intensity was a joke compared to what dermatologists use. One brand was basically the same strength as a kid's night light. It's all about that fancy packaging and making you feel like you're doing some high tech skincare ritual. Total scam for most of them.

inI always thought those 'budget your fun money' people were nuts, but my bank account says otherwise
Hiding it in a book is smart, I just use a separate bank account.
