Rant: My 'use a potato to unscrew a stripped bolt' hack ended with a trip to urgent care

That jetpack video had maybe three pixels total. I remember pausing it and you could see a blurry rope near his left shoulder. My cousin was all in on it until someone posted the warehouse photos with the same rafters in the background. It's crazy how a shaky camera and some loud noise can make people believe anything.

My bathroom vanity almost fell off the wall this morning

My old apartment had this big mirror I hung with just two anchors. It stayed up for years, so I figured that was enough. Then one hot summer day the whole thing came crashing down at 3 AM. Now I use every single anchor in the box, no matter what.

Saw a huge difference in draft after fixing a hidden offset

Hidden offsets are killers. Found one in a 1920s bungalow last year, just a slight bend. The fireplace would barely draw. Cleaned it spotless, no change. Finally scoped it and that little kink had decades of glazed creosote built up. After we rodded it out, the thing pulled like a jet engine. It's crazy how such a small thing can wreck the whole system.

My uncle told me to always use a 1/4 inch roundover bit on maple drawer fronts, but it chipped out on my last project.

Wait, he said to ALWAYS use it? On maple? That's wild. Maple can be so tricky with tear-out. I would have gone with a smaller bit, maybe 1/8 inch, and taken super light passes. Or even used a sharp chamfer bit instead. A quarter inch is just asking for trouble on that hard grain.

Unpopular opinion: I think the whole 'just be yourself' dating advice is a total trap

Sounds like a lot of work for a joke. Is it really that deep?
