Three hours just to find one anime episode I watched last month

Oh man, cameron538, that "anime girl with blue hair eating ramen" bit got me. I actually read an article recently about how people remember scenes way better than show titles, something about how our brains process visual stuff. It makes total sense because I've definitely done the same thing. One time I spent two hours hunting for a specific fight scene where a character used a spoon as a weapon, turns out it was from some obscure cooking battle show from 2015. I even went through my browser history which was a nightmare because half of it was just me falling down YouTube rabbit holes at 2am.

Unpopular opinion: I thought booking flights on a Tuesday was a myth until I saved $180 on a trip to Denver

Wait, Tuesday? Like a random Tuesday morning or does it matter what time? I mean I get the whole "check midweek" thing but I always thought that was one of those old wives tales from like 2005. Actually now that I think about it I booked a flight to Chicago last year on a Wednesday afternoon and got it for like 180 bucks and my buddy who booked the same flight the next day paid 260. I just thought I got lucky or something. Your mileage may vary but I might actually start doing this on purpose now.

Tried hot vinegar on my caked-on baking dish after 3 scrubs did nothing

Read somewhere that denture cleaning tablets work wonders on stained coffee mugs. Toss one in with hot water, let it fizz overnight. Came out looking brand new. Same idea as the vinegar thing I guess. Sometimes the cheap stuff works better than the fancy sprays.

That time my date brought her mom along without telling me

Is it just me or do people forget that boundaries exist in every part of life now?

Debate: do you side with the customer who records everything or the worker who refuses service?

Honestly I used to side with the customer on this but after stocking shelves and dealing with people shoving phones in my face for months my view totally flipped. It’s one thing to record in public but when you’re inches from someone trying to do their job it just feels like intimidation, not protection. Tbh there’s got to be a middle ground where people can call out bad service without making every worker feel like they’re on trial.
