inLearned a trick for sticky aperture blades from an old Minolta repair manual
My grandpa used to call lighter fluid "campfire starter in a can" and always swore by naptha for cleaning carburetors on his old Ford truck back in the 70s. It's funny how products like this just get pushed out of everyday use. You can still buy a gallon of naptha at most hardware stores for under 15 bucks, but most folks just grab whatever is cheapest at the gas station. I guess that's the same pattern for a lot of stuff - people pick convenience over what actually works better.

inThat time I accidentally dried out a client's scalp with too much product buildup
Wait, does that mean I gotta break out the hair dryer every time I use coconut oil now? I tried that once with my frizzy mop and ended up looking like a greasy scarecrow for three days straight. The heat just made it worse somehow, like the oil was melting and then hardening again on my ends. I guess my hair's just picky, or maybe I'm too lazy to do it right. Either way, I'm sticking with my cheap conditioner and hoping no one notices the buildup.

inMy friends ragged on me for liking The Wicker Man remake
Wait you actually watched it alone and liked it without the friends there to mock it first?

inVent: Spent 4 hours on a sourdough starter and it never bubbled
Did you try putting the jar on top of your fridge instead of the oven? I used to think the oven with the light on was the gold standard for warmth, but I killed two starters that way before I realized the light bulb alone can push it way past 80 degrees and cook the yeast. One guy on a baking forum told me to just leave it on the counter by the stove and let the ambient kitchen temp do its thing, and suddenly my third starter took off like crazy after five days.

inHit 10,000 connector crimps this morning without a single reject
10,000 is impressive. Mine don't fail either but I don't count them.
