I had a gig on the Great Lakes years back where the seal on my dry suit went bad on day two and I spent the rest of the week soaked anyway, just with extra steps. The old timers told me to rub the seal with talc but all that did was make me smell like a baby. Cold hands are the worst part though, once your fingers go numb you are just guessing at the torque. These days I just take the wet suit and a thermos and call it good.
