Wait, you thought a wood stove was gonna keep a place in Flagstaff warm when it's below freezing outside? That's like bringing a butter knife to a sword fight, my friend. Wood stoves are great and all, but they only heat the room they're in, and the second you stop feeding that thing it drops fast. Thirty-one degrees inside means your pipes were about to be in serious trouble, so good call on tapping out before you had a bigger mess on your hands. Sometimes a fancy old-timey solution meets modern reality and modern reality wins. At least the propane heater will actually do what you tell it to.
