I watched a client's hair go from fried to healthy in under 4 months

She came in with that awful orange-yellow bleach damage from a box kit, and we started with a protein filler and a demi-permanent glaze in a cool ash brown. After three visits with deep conditioning and a strict no-heat rule, the shine and bounce came back completely. What's your go-to rescue plan for major chemical damage?

That "strict no-heat rule" is the real key. I see so many people skip that part. My rescue plan is always Olaplex No.3, but you have to leave it on for hours, not just 20 minutes. I also do a lot of bond-building shampoos and conditioners. Then I use a demi gloss, like you said, to add shine and even out the color without more damage. It's a slow process but it works.

Also, stop washing your hair so much.

Ugh, the no heat rule is so hard but you're right. How long do you leave your Olaplex on for? I tried an hour once and it did feel better.
