Spent $800 on a professional resume rewrite and it was a total waste

The writer just used fancy words and made it sound fake, which I think actually hurt my chances. I got zero callbacks after sending it out for a month. Anyone have a better method that actually works?

Did you try paying a monkey $800 instead? Probably same results.

Last time I tried that route the monkey threw the check at me and demanded snacks instead. Trust me @the_lucas, it's not a better deal.

Did you ever try just handing them something like a banana or an apple before the check? I learned the hard way that these monkeys don't care about money at all. What worked for me was bringing a small bag of grapes and offering one while I handed over the payment. They took the check after that, no fuss. It's like they have their own little economy based on snacks. You might have to test a few different treats, but once you find the right one, it's smooth sailing.
