Used a new clear coat from a local supplier in Tacoma and it started to haze after 48 hours in the booth.
Turns out their mix ratio was wrong for our humidity, so now I'm asking if anyone else in the Pacific Northwest has a go-to clear that doesn't react like that.

What kind of clear coat just gives up after two days in our normal air? That's like selling an umbrella that melts in the rain. I swear some of these suppliers act like the Pacific Northwest is a dry desert climate. I've been using the same brand for years because it's the only one that doesn't freak out when it's damp. You can find it at most shops up here, it's the one in the black and white can.

Sounds like they're testing their clear coat in a lab with zero humidity.

Honestly, I used to just grab whatever can was on sale. But @evan_campbell is right about the lab conditions thing, it really shows. I learned the hard way that a cheap clear coat just won't hold up in real weather. Now I check the specs for humidity tolerance every time.
