inGot schooled on my hoistway door gap check by a guy with 40 years in the trade
My old foreman in Philly used to say the same thing as @mason33, that top hinge corner is a dead giveaway the rollers are shot.

inMy drip machine was making bitter cups for months.
Oh wow, that makes so much sense. So even a cheap filter could be fine if they just washed it properly. It's all about the leftover junk messing with the water flow and trapping the oils.

inOverheard a guy at the hardware store say he spent $50 on a single steak dinner and I just thought about my pot of chili simmering at home.
My buddy Dave saved up for months to try some famous burger that costs like thirty bucks. He said it was good, but the next week we were at a dive bar and he had the best grilled cheese of his life for five dollars. He still talks about that grilled cheese way more. Guess it proves you never really know where the good memory comes from.

inMy main drawing tablet just died mid-project, right before a client deadline.
Remember my old backup tablet, the one with the chewed cord from my cat? That thing saved me when my main driver crashed during a storm last year. It's like what mary776 said about her Intuos, sometimes the old gear just hangs on. I keep that backup charged and ready now, because tech always fails at the worst possible time. It's worth digging out any old hardware you have lying around to get through the deadline.
