inI spent $80 on a 'miracle' plant food that promised to bring my dead fern back...
That stuff is a total scam, just use regular fertilizer and water.

inMy old bull float gave out on me right in the middle of a big garage pour
Ever notice how my brain does that too?

inRemember when we all used to set posts with a sledge and a level?
Read an article once where a carpenter said using a sledge for posts is like digging a pool with a spoon. Sure it works, but you'll be wrecked and the results are usually sloppy. That extra control from a driver or even a manual pounder makes a huge difference for keeping things straight. Your buddy learned the hard way.

inI was totally wrong about those 'fake' Roman coins from a field near York
Ever think that old wiring was always obvious? I used to assume anything that old would look burnt out or frayed... but @evan_campbell is right. Seeing something that looks perfect but is actually ancient makes you question every wall you open up now. It's kind of spooky how things can just sit there untouched for so long. Really makes you wonder what else is hiding in plain sight.

inA client in Boise told me my project plan was 'too clean to be real'
Disagree honestly, @spencer362. Listing out problems before you even start can just give people a reason to say no. It plants doubt. I'd rather show a solid plan to handle issues as they come up, not hand a list of excuses to someone looking for one. Being too upfront about hurdles can backfire big time.
