inJust hit 1,000 layers on a single drawing file and my computer almost cried
That's just bad layer management, lol.

inMy neighbor called my compost setup 'just a fancy trash pile' and honestly, it stung
My neighbor's compost bin smells like a swamp every summer because he just dumps lawn waste in there. It's like people forget that balance applies to most things, not just composting.

inPro tip: a drop of blue Loctite on a stripped screw head can save a whole panel
Forget the five year plan, I'm just trying to get home before the sun bakes my tools. @price.tara has a point about the next guy's problem, but that's a gift for future me. Right now, a working hack beats a perfect theory every time.

inWarning: I see a lot of people using way too much glue on their spines
I used to think more glue was better for book repair until I ruined a 1978 copy of Dune the same way. Seeing that peanut butter comment from @masonbell really hits home now. It's a solid brick of paper and regret, can't even open it past page 50. You learn the hard way that a thin line does the job, anything more and you've just made a doorstop.

inHot take: I keep seeing guys at my shop in Milwaukee set their tool offsets with the spindle off
Spindle heat changes everything, learned that after scrapping a run of stainless fittings. Always warm up the machine first.
