inRedoing my kitchen shelves led me to ditch the fruit bowl.
My kitchen redo last spring had me doing the same thing. I found that berries and grapes keep SO much fresher in the fridge. No more fruit flies or quick rotting on the counter. Bananas still ripen fine if I leave them out a day, then fridge them. The counter space is now FREE for my coffee maker. Once you switch, you really won't miss the bowl.

inPro tip: Always snap pictures before you box up a bike for warranty work, or you might end up covering the repair cost yourself.
Man, I wish I was that smart. My version of that is usually just staring at the broken part while muttering swear words, then trying to glue it back together with the wrong kind of epoxy. By the time I remember to take a picture, it's covered in my fingerprints and dust and looks like I ran it over with my car. Solid move with the timestamp, that's genius level stuff right there.

inAt my shop, new hires barely touch wrenches anymore.
At the local community college, their auto program shut down last year due to low interest. It's SCARY how fast these skills are disappearing. We're setting ourselves up for a real mess if the power goes out.

inWarning: My neighbor's backyard pizza oven sent smoke through our windows
Actually, cut the guy some slack. He was just excited to use his new oven and picked the wrong wood. First time builders always miss a step or two. The smoke thing is a temporary mess, not a real problem.

inUpdate: I quit using paper manuals for good last year
Switched to online PDFs myself and saved both my knuckles and my sanity.
