Warning: My neighbor's backyard pizza oven sent smoke through our windows
My next door buddy got ambitious and built a brick pizza oven from online plans last weekend. He used green wood for the first fire, and the thick smoke poured straight into our open bedroom windows. We woke up coughing and thought the house was on fire. What's the weirdest side effect you've seen from a DIY project?

Actually, cut the guy some slack. He was just excited to use his new oven and picked the wrong wood. First time builders always miss a step or two. The smoke thing is a temporary mess, not a real problem.
