Could it be that they're actually trying to fix a bigger problem? Tight rules often come from past messes that needed cleaning up. Workers sometimes miss the full picture of what keeps a business going. Getting upset over every change just slows down real progress. I've worked under tight spots before and found ways to manage. In the end, the job gets done one way or another.

Honestly my last pine project looked like a toddler attacked it with a mud puddle. I tried that pre-stain conditioner and everything, still got those gross dark blotches in the soft grain. My partner said it had "character." I'm pretty sure the character was "regret." Maybe the real lesson is learning when to just paint the thing.
