inThe vibe at my local con shifted hard in just two years
That's a solid point about the vibe shift. @thomasm15 mentioned his friend's cosplay getting ignored, which is a huge bummer. Do you think the con organizers are partly to blame for pushing so many limited edition drops? It feels like they're feeding that shopping frenzy. Makes the whole floor just feel like a checkout line sometimes.

inTIL a trick for blending stubborn gray roots on dark hair
Honestly, isn't adding a red pigment a huge risk for turning those grays pink or brassy? I've seen that go wrong so many times. I stick with a neutral or cool base and just increase the developer strength for that one section. The extra lift seems to open the cuticle enough for better gray coverage without messing with the tone.

inMy whole system changed after a rainy afternoon at the Seattle Public Library
Oh man, rolling weeklies saved my sanity. I set mine up with just three columns: a list of all my tasks, the date I aim to do them, and the actual date I finish. When a task moves, I just draw a line to the new date box. It sounds too simple but seeing everything shift on paper stops that panicked feeling when plans change.

inA warning about those cheap 'universal' anvil stands
Honestly, that's why you don't cheap out on the stand.

inVent: I was packing way too much food for my trips until a ranger in Yosemite asked if I was feeding a whole group.
My first solo trip I brought a full jar of peanut butter and a whole block of cheese. I was eating like I was at home, not on a trail. That ranger comment hits hard because it's so easy to pack your fears, especially with food. I started weighing every single snack bag and the numbers were shocking. Now my rule is one big meal a day and the rest are just bars and nuts, cuts the weight in half.
