Honestly I was just doing a simple trim on a regular client and halfway through a section I heard this loud crack. My trusty shears that I've had for like 4 years just broke right at the pivot. I had to grab my backup pair that I keep in my bag but they're not as sharp and the tension is different. The worst part was my client saw the whole thing happen and started laughing but I was lowkey panicking inside. I finished the cut but it took way longer and my hand was cramping up from using the backup. Ngl I think I'm gonna have to drop some cash on a new pair this weekend but I'm not sure if I should stick with the same brand or try something different. Has anyone else had a favorite tool just give out on them like that?
