I took photos of every room after the '21 freeze, even inside closets and cabinets. It made the insurance claim way easier because I had proof of my old water heater model and the brand of flooring ruined by the burst pipe. I also shot a quick video walking through the house narrating what was where. The adjuster said that was the most organized file he'd seen all month.
