Finally went on a date after 8 months and spilled coffee on her jacket in the first 5 minutes

We met at this little cafe in Brooklyn and I was so nervous my hand just jerked when I reached for my cup. It went all over her white denim jacket and she just sat there staring at it soaking in. Has anyone else had a date totally fall apart right at the start like that and somehow still salvage it?

I wasted $200 on a POS system that couldn't handle split checks

Last month I bought a cloud-based POS system for my small cafe after the sales guy promised it could do everything. First busy Saturday, a group of 8 wanted separate checks and the system locked up completely. Lost 20 minutes and a few customers walked out. I should have tested it during a slow period first. Has anyone else been burned by flashy POS demos that don't work in real life?

Can we talk about those cheap magnetic pickup tools?

Bought a 10 dollar telescoping magnetic pickup tool from Harbor Freight two months ago. First use it grabbed a screwdriver no problem. Third use yesterday the magnet just fell off inside an engine bay on a 2015 F-150. My buddy swears by the same one and says I got a dud. Anyone else have one of these fail or am I just unlucky?

Just hit $10k in my TFSA and it feels weirdly huge

Ive been putting in like $200 a month for 3 years and finally broke that 5 figure mark last week, never thought id actually get there starting from zero. Anyone else hit a random milestone that felt bigger than you expected?

The moment I realized my 'cheat meal' was actually a cheat WEEK

I spent 6 months doing strict keto, losing 20 pounds, then let myself have ONE slice of pizza last Tuesday and somehow ate pizza every single day until Sunday. Has anyone else fallen into that trap where one slip turns into a full-on binge cycle?

Found out my neighbor's mailbox has been missing for 8 months and nobody noticed

So I was walking my dog last week and decided to actually count mailboxes on our street, you know, just bored. Turns out house #214 hasn't had a mailbox since March, the post is just sitting there empty. I asked the guy who lives there and he said it got knocked over by a snowplow and he just never replaced it. But here's the thing, he still gets his mail somehow, he said the mailman just hands it to him at the door. That got me wondering how many other houses in town are just quietly skipping the whole mailbox thing. Has anyone else ever caught something weird like this on their own street?

Overheard a guy at the con say Attack on Titan is overrated and now I can't stop thinking about it

I was standing in line for a panel at Anime Expo last weekend and this dude in a Levi hoodie just blurts out that the whole show is just shock value with no real plot. It got me wondering if I've been defending it because I actually like it or just because everyone else does. Do you ever catch yourself liking something just because the hype train is too strong to get off?
