inTIL a lot of people skip the 'future log' section entirely
Totally, @cameronmurray, it's like a mental airlock so random ideas don't wreck your focus.

inCan we talk about the shame of asking your parents for rent money at 30?
What if the shame comes from how we define being an adult? In my experience, being grown is about handling problems, not just paying for everything alone. Calling for help to solve a real crisis is actually a pretty mature move.

inA friend called my 9/11 research 'surface level' and it made me dig deeper
How many people actually read the full report? Most just repeat what they heard. You did the real work and saw the gaps yourself.

inAm I the only one who thinks the old school guys are wrong about hydraulic oil changes?
My 1983 Dover at the old mall ran 31 years on the same oil. The pump finally went last month, but that's a solid run for any part. The new fluid they put in now has a totally different additive package, so the old rules don't apply. I've seen more problems from water getting in during a change than from old oil breaking down. If the sight glass is clear and the lab says it's fine, you're just making extra work.
