DAE put off saving for emergencies like I did?
I always thought emergency funds were for big disasters. But when my fridge died last month, I had no cash. I used a credit card and now I'm paying interest. I started setting aside $50 from each paycheck. It's already easing my mind about future surprises.

Actually, my car battery dying last winter was a REAL eye-opener. I was stranded in a cold parking lot after ignoring the signs for months. Now I just have a phone reminder to check it seasonally, such a tiny habit that saves major stress. Like @the_riley said, taking that first small step is everything.

Man, getting started is the hardest part for sure.

Last month, I aimed to write 500 words each morning. From what I've seen, a small, clear goal helped me just start. I set a timer for 25 minutes and only focused on writing. Some days were hard, but keeping at it built up speed. Your results might differ, but for me, starting small worked well. It made a big job feel doable.
