The week our entire office lost power right before a deadline

Last Thursday, a transformer blew two blocks over and knocked out our whole building for six hours. I had three sets of permit drawings for a Phoenix job due by 5 PM, and my UPS only gave me 45 minutes. I had to drive across town to a friend's firm, beg for a workstation, and rebuild two hours of lost work from memory (and some very old paper sketches). Has anyone else had a close call like this, and what's your backup plan now?

Oh man, that's the worst. My backup plan is basically just hoping I remember to save more often.

Yeah Laura's right, that's a total disaster plan. My backup plan is just crossing my fingers and crying a little.
