Finally pulled off a decent first date after 4 tries this year

I kept getting ghosted or having the conversation die before we even ordered, but last night I made it to dessert without a single awkward silence. Has anyone else had a long streak of bad dates before things finally clicked?

Wait, did you actually make it to dessert without any silence? That's like a gold medal in dating right now. I had a buddy who went through eight dates in a row where the conversation just fizzled out by the main course. He said it was like they were both just waiting for the check. Then out of nowhere, he found someone who actually laughed at his dumb jokes and he said it was like a switch flipped in his brain. So yeah, it sounds like you're finally cracking the code, man.
